💻 Windows (computer)

Access network settings on Windows 10 / 11
  • Open the Start menu and click on Settings
  • Go to Network and Internet
  • Click Advanced Network Settings or Change Adapter Options (depending on your version of Windows)
  • A list of available network connections will be displayed.

Open the Osmozis WiFi connection properties
  • Locate your Osmozis WiFi connection in the list
  • Right-click on the connection and select Properties.

Check the IPv4 settings
  • In the list of items used by this connection, look for Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)
  • Double-click on it to open its properties (be careful not to uncheck the box).
Automatic settings for IP address and DNS
  • Make sure that the following options are selected:
    • Obtain an IP address automatically
    • Obtain DNS server address automatically

Check advanced DNS settings
  • Click on the Advanced button in the IPv4 properties window
  • Go to the DNS tab
  • Check that the two DNS server fields are empty. If there are any values, delete them.
Save and test the connection
  • Click OK to close all the windows and save your changes
  • Try to reconnect to the Osmozis WiFi network.

Access network settings
  • Go to System Preferences and click on Network

Open the Osmozis WiFi connection properties
  • Click on Wi-Fi
  • Click on Details in front of your Osmozis WiFi connection

Check DNS settings
  • Go to the DNS tab
  • Check that both DNS server fields are empty. If there are values, delete them by selecting them and then clicking on the – (minus sign) under the field.
  • Click OK

Renew the DNS lease
  • If you have deleted values in the DNS tab, then open the TCP/IP tab
  • Click on ‘Renew DCHP Lease’
  • Click OK to close all the windows and save your changes
  • Try to reconnect to the Osmozis WiFi network.
